Colts Get Blanked Again

Windsor hands Barrie 2nd straight shutout, Propp makes 36 saves in loss.


The Barrie Colts couldn't find the net for a second straight game.
 
The visiting Windsor Spitfires blanked the Colts by a score of 3-0 on Thursday night.
 
No scoring until the second period when Graham Knott scored from a sharp angle to give the Spitfires a 1-0 lead.
 
Knott finished with two goals, Tyler Nother got the other for the Spitfires (19-5-4-0).
 
Barrie did get their chances but could not bury one past Michael DiPietro who stopped all 21 shots for Windsor -- 10 coming in the first period.
 
Christian Propp made 36 saves for the Colts (8-17-3-1).
 
Both teams did not score on the power play, Windsor on 6 opportunities, 4 for Barrie.
 
The next game for the Colts is Saturday night when they host the Flint Firebirds at the Barrie Molson Centre.
