Colts Come Up Short Against Battalion

Moran makes 41 saves in North Bay's win, Chiodo and Willms score for Barrie.

Home was not too sweet for the Barrie Colts.
Three 2nd period goals allowed the North Bay Battalion to beat the Colts 5-2 on Saturday night.
After both teams exchanged first period goals, the Battalion scored twice in an 11-second span midway through the 2nd period to take a 3-1 lead.
The Colts would get one back before the Battalion replied a few minutes later for a 4-2 lead at the end of two periods.
Maurizio Colella, Zach Poirier, Jacob Ball, Cam Dineen, and Steve Harland scored for the Battalion (10-7-2-0).
Lucas Chiodo and Jason Willms replied for the Colts (6-12-2-0) whose losing now sits at 6.
Brent Moran turned away 41 shots in the win while David Ovsjannijov stopped 33 shots in the loss.
Power plays saw North Bay go 1-for-3, Barrie finished 0-for-3.
The Colts next game is this Thursday night when they host the Sudbury Wolves at the Barrie Molson Centre.
