Snow To End Tonight

Regional | by Catherine Thompson

Most areas are expecting 2 to 5 centimetres of snow today.

The snow is expected to continue this afternoon and taper off later today and mix with rain.

Environment Canada's special weather statement says 2 to 4 centimetres is likely for Wasaga Beach, Collingwood and Stayner.

But places like Creemore, Flesherton and the Shelburne area may see 5 to 10 centimetres of snow.

In the Midland and Orillia areas, the snow, at times mixed with rain, is to end overnight. Accumulation of 2 to 5 centimetres is expected.

And with wet, and in some places slushy roads, OPP say they have received a number of calls for vehicles in the ditch across the region.

Police remind you to slow down.
