Baycats Pound Royals

Spataro with 4 hits and 3 runs, Castaldo and DeGrace each with 3 RBIs for Barrie.

No let down for the Barrie Baycats this time.
They had no problems in beating the Guelph Royals 10-1 Sunday night at the Barrie Sports Complex.
The Baycats were up 1-0 when they scored 3 runs in the 5th inning on a 2-run single by Kyle DeGrace and R-B-I single by Jordan Castaldo.
Barrie added 3 more in the 6th on a sacrifice fly by DeGrace and R-B-I doubles by Castaldo and Kevin Atkinson to break the game open.
Ryan Spataro led the Baycats offence with 4 hits and scored 3 times.
Castaldo, Atkinson, and Glenn Jackson had three hits a piece.
Castaldo and DeGrace each drove in 3 runs.
Guelph's run came in the 6th on an R-B-I ground out by Aaron Loder scoring Tino Silvestri.
Emilis Guerrero went 7 innings giving up a run on 2 hits while striking out 8 in the victory.
AJ MacKay gave up 4 runs on 9 hits with 3 walks and 4 strikeouts over 5 innings in the loss. 
The next game for the Baycats is Monday night when they travel to Burlington for a make-up game against the Bandits.
