Speed Dating for Tourism

Grey Highlands | by Claire McCormack

Just like speed dating, tourism operators invited to get to know one another tonight.

The Grey Highlands Tourism Advisory Committee is hosting an unusual type of 'Speed Dating' session.

The event, on Monday June 13th, is a chance for tourism stakeholders to have one-on-one conversations with others in the local tourism business.

Grey Highlands Chief Administrative Officer Dan Best says it's a fast paced, free event that allows tourism operators to network and build experiences for tourists visiting Grey Highlands.

Tourism Advisory Committee Chair Rosanne Caruso says it's one of the many initiatives the committee has planned for the coming months.

Caruso says the event is a response to stakeholder requests to get to know their colleagues so they can collaborate.

She says it's a key recommendation of the draft Tourism Destination Management Plan.

Doors open for the 'Speed Dating' event at 6 PM, and the clock starts at 6:30 PM sharp at the Kinplex in Flesherton.
