Kincardine Student Competes Nationally

High School Student Declan Mowle will take part in the Skills Canada Competition.

A teenager from Kincardine is going to take part in the Skills Canada competition.

Declan Mowle is a student at Kincardine District Secondary -- and he won Gold in the Small Powered Equipment contest at the Ontario Technological Skills Competition.

Mowle will represent the Bluewater school board at the Nationals in Moncton, New Brunswick from June 5th to the 8th.

Several other Bluewater students faired well at the provincial competition held in Waterloo earlier this month.

Dillion Reany and Andrew Brillinger of John Diefenbaker Secondary in Hanover won Gold for Carpentry.

Gordon and Jake Clark of Grey Highlands in Flesherton won Gold for the Horticulture and Landscape contest.

Taylor Minifie of Grey Highlands won Silver for Floristry.

Elizabeth O'Neill of Grey Highlands won Bronze in Landscape Design.
