Raiders Lose Lacrosse Final

West Hill loses to defending OFSAA Champs in tournament final.

A busy Friday in Bluewater High School Sports.

The St. Mary's Lady Mustangs shut out OSCVI 43-0 in Girls Rugby action on Friday.

Jessica Smith and Carina Fascinator each had two tries while Julia Paquette had four converts in the win.

The West Hill Lady Raiders also beat Grey Highlands 31-5

In Senior Boys rugby, OSCVI blanked Sacred Heart 32-0

And the Grey Highlands Lions beat West Hill 55-15

The West Hill Boys Field Lacrosse team also played in the Assumption College High School tournament in Brantford on Friday.

West Hill went won all three games in the round robin -- beating Upper Canada College 4-3, host Assumption College 9-6 and Hagersville 15-1.

But the Raiders lost 8-7 in the final to MacKinnon Park -- the OFSAA Gold Medalists from the last two seasons.

West Hill will host OSCVI and St. Mary's in local action, beginning at 9:30 AM on Wednesday.

The winner meets St. David's on Tuesday May 24th in Owen Sound to determine who will advance to the OFSAA Festival in Brantford at Assumption College.
