Canada Advances to Semifinals

Canada remains unbeaten after 9-1 win over Switzerland in U18 quarterfinals.

The Canadians cruised into the semifinals at the Under 18 World Hockey Championship in Grand Forks, North Dakota.

Team Canada beat Switzerland 9-1 in the quarterfinals on Thursday.

The Canadians went 4 for 5 on the power play and outshot the Swiss 45-26.

Tyson Jost and Brett Howden each had five points for Canada, while Mississauga Steelhead Mike McLeod had two goals.

Owen Sound Attack defender Markus Phillips is a member of Team Canada

Canada will now face Sweden in the semifinals at 8 PM on Saturday.
