The Ice Dogs scored three goals in a 1:08 span in the 3rd period to beat the Colts 3-2 on Thursday night and take Game 1 of the OHL Eastern Conference Final.
Justin Scott put the Colts up 1-0 midway through the first period with his 15th goal of the playoffs.
Andrew Mangiapane would give Barrie a 2-0 lead with a short-handed goal in the 3rd.
But Niagara got one back on the same power play from Blake Siebenaler 41 seconds later.
Josh Ho-Sang tied it up at 2-2 53 seconds after that then Jordan Maletta put the Ice Dogs ahead 14 seconds later.
Mackenzie Blackwood made 39 saves in the loss while Alex Nedeljkovic stopped 27 shots in the win.
Niagara went 1-for-4 on the power play, Barrie finished 0-for-3.
