(Wasaga Beach) -

The main end of Wasaga Beach is back up for discussion at Tuesday's Council meeting.

There is a public meeting on a proposed amendment to the town's Official Plan to identify the location of the future Downtown Wasaga Beach.

The downtown area would include River Road West, Zoo Park Road, the Nottawasaga River, Spruce Street, Beach Drive and 6th Street.

And full council is expected to discuss possible operators of the Dardanella and Copa Cabana bars at the main beach for this summer.

At last week's Committee of the Whole meeting, councillors weren't quite satisfied with a lease offer from Recreation Leisure Services for the Copa.

RLS only wants to pay for four months of taxes which leaves the other eight months up to taxpayers.

Staff were to go back to RLS to see if they agree to pay a full year of taxes and the final offer to lease is before full council for approval tonight.

Council is also to discuss whether to have Enzo Grossi run the Dard.

He is already approved as the operator of Bananas.
