Unruly Guest Leads to Drug Bust

Man and woman face charges at motel, another man arrested on warrants.

(Barrie) -

A disturbance at a Barrie motel resulting in drug charges for the guests.

Barrie Police were called to the motel Saturday afternoon about a woman refusing to leave her room and causing problems for management.
When officers arrived, they found the woman in a room along with a man and a variety of drugs and drug paraphernalia.
Add to it, the 34-year-old woman was already out on earlier charges for property and drug-related offences. 
She faces three new charges: two counts of possession of a controlled substance and one for breach of recognizance.
As for the 31-year-old man, he was out on violence-based offences and also face three new charges: two counts of breach of probation and one count of possession of a controlled substance.
Both were held for a bail hearing.
In a separate case, Police found three men causing a disturbance behind the Goodyear Tire store on Anne Street Sunday afternoon.
One man was seen running from the scene.

But he was located a few minutes later and immediately surrendered to police.

The 43-year-old had five outstanding warrants and was held for a bail hearing.
