The Huron County Economic Development department has an opening on its board, and is looking for someone in our business community to fill it.
The department is rolling out its recently-completed strategic plan, which focuses on agriculture and agri-food, arts culture and tourism, manufacturing, health and well-being, information technology, and retail and local services.
Ron Gaudet was hired as the County's director of Economic Development in January.
Meetings are held once a month.
Board Chair Jim Lynn says the prime qualifications for the position are a passion for Huron County, and a desire to see it positioned well for the future and support regional collaboration.
Applications for the Board opening are being accepted either by letter or in person at the County administration office in Goderich until April 1st at 4 PM.
