If you love maple syrup, then you will want to attend the Maple Magic Family Festival in Wiarton.
It's hosted by the Wiarton Rotary Club at the Regal Point Elk Farm, east of Wiarton.
The Festival takes place March 19th and 20th, and again on March 26th and 27th, from 9 AM to 1 PM.
Owner Eric Robinson says you can get breakfast and take a ride in a hot air balloon.
Breakfast costs $5 to $10 per plate -- specialties are Fresh Peaches and Cream Pancakes and kids gourmet.
Robinson says after eating breakfast, customers can go on a tour of the elk farm and maple syrup processing equipment.
There's fun things for the whole family to do such as go to "Mount Haymore" -- a mountain filled with climbing challenges and slides -- and log sawing contests each day at 11:30 AM.
Robinson tell us at the main store people can buy maple syrup, taffy on snow, maple cotton candy and waffle on a stick.
He says customers can also go on the "Willie's bush walk" and grabs some great pictures.
Proceeds from this event benefit The Wiarton and District Rotary Club and their community projects like the Wiarton Bluewater Park boardwalk and playground, Bruce Peninsula Hospice and the Wiarton Salvation Army.
