Attack Beat North Bay Again

Hancock scores twice in 4-1 win, as Owen Sound has won 10 of last 12 games.

The Owen Sound Attack have now won 10 of the last 12 OHL games against North Bay, after beating the Battalion 4-1 on Thursday night.

Kevin Hancock scored twice for the Attack, while Thomas Schemitsch and Jonah Gadjovich added singles for Owen Sound (29-21-10).

Maurizio Colella replied for North Bay (31-20-9).

Michael McNiven needed to make only 16 saves to record his 20th win of the season for Owen Sound.

The Attack have points in 11 of the last 12 games versus North Bay. The Battalion's only victory in that span was a 3-0 victory in Owen Sound on November 20th, 2014.

Jake Smith made 36 saves in the loss for North Bay, who now find themselves five points behind Barrie for the second seed in the Eastern Conference.

The Colts scored four times in the 3rd period and beat Ottawa 6-2 on Thursday.

Owen Sound meanwhile remains two points ahead of the Sault Ste Marie Greyhounds for 6th place in the Western Conference.

The Greyhounds kept pace with Owen Sound with a 5-2 win in Sarnia on Thursday.

Owen Sound will visit Sudbury on Friday at 7 PM before playing in Barrie at 7:30 PM on Saturday.

Also in the OHL on Thursday -- the London Knights routed the Erie Otters 6-1. The Knights are now 4 points behind the Otters for top spot in the Western Conference.
