Midget Girls

Kylie Maue scored twice as the Township of Chatsworth Town & Country Garden Centre defeated the Walkerton Capitals 4-1 in OWHA Playdown action.  

Singles were awarded to Amanda Zettle and Shannon Stryker.  
Scoring for Walkerton was Ally Busby.



Midget


The Peninsula Predators defeated the Lucknow Sepoys 7-0 Friday night in Wiarton to advance to OMHA semi-finals finals against Norwich.

Bantam Girls

The Grey Bruce Laser Vision Centre Ice Hawks traveled to Kitchener Sunday for game 3 of their best of 3 Lower Lakes Female Hockey League playoff series.  

The Ice Hawks had a tie and a loss in their previous games and needed the win to move on past the third place Kitchener Lady Rangers.  

The Ice Hawks had the lead for most of the game, however with their goalie pulled the Lady Rangers were able to tie it up with 3 seconds remaining in the game.  

The 2-2 tie was all Kitchener needed to move on to the next round.  
Scorers for Owen Sound were Zoey Davis and Tristin Brown (penalty shot).  

Assists went to McKenzie Davis and Brontae Frook.

 

 

Peewee

The Owen Sound Harold Sutherland Attack beat Hespeler Shamrocks 5-4 in overtime in a Tri-County playoff game.

Aidan Yarde scored twice. Eric Barnard and Nick Garrett scored once each and Kieran Moore scored the overtime goal.




Minor Peewee

The Owen Sound Garb and Gear Attack have advanced to the Ontario Minor Hockey Association semifinals after a thrilling Game 5 win in Burlington against the Eagles on Saturday.

Owen Sound plays the Essex Ravens next in a best-of-five series.

On Saturday, Curtis Arnold led the Owen Sound offence with a pair of goals, while Carter Moran, Owen Prior, Landen Humphries and Jacob Duncan added one each.

Burlington had forced a fifth game after tying up the series with a 4-3 overtime win at the Julie McArthur Regional Recreation Centre on Friday night.

Carter Moran scored two goals for Owen Sound, while Owen Prior added one.



Atom Girls

The Chatsworth Desboro Lion's Club  played their third Provincial playdown game Sunday defeating West Grey 4-2.

All four Chatsworth goals were scored by Lyndsay Cumming.

West Grey goals were scored by Carleigh Becker (2).

Minor Atom

Brian Pickett Ride Centre Minor Atom Jr Attack played 3 Georgian Bay League playoff games this weekend.  

Friday Picketts played Flesherton at home and lost 9-6.

Nolan Edmonstone, Bennett Carr and Ethen Williams and a hat trick for Hunter Stewart scored for the Attack

 
Saturday Honeywood beat the Pickett Ride Centre  8-3.  
 
Pickett Ride Centre goals were scored by Bennett Carr, Brian Corbett, and Morgan Armstrong.
 
Sunday Pickett Ride Centreplayed in Coldwater and lost 6-1, the Owen Sound goal was scored by Nolan Edmonstone. 





Novice Girls

The Gremania Mutual Insurance and Service Master Owen Sound Ice Hawks out scored the TCDMHA Rebals for a 3-1 win on Saturday morning at the Desboro arena.

The Ice Hawks goal scorers went  to Avery MacDonald, Dani Wilkie and Aimee Dubosq with assists belonging to Elise Nair, Avery MacDonald, Aimee Dubosq and Sarah Cowan.

The lone goal scored for the Rebels belongs to Hennessy Koeslag assisted by Claire Torrie and Chloe Stephen.


The Germania Mutual Insurance and Service Master Owen Sound \Ice Hawks finished their regular season play Saturday with an incredible record of 11-0-1.

The Ice Hawks still have lots of play left with exhibition games to continue, the Canadettes Tournament in March, the Year-end Tournament and Provincials in April.

The Ice Hawks would like to thank TCDMHA Rebals, Walkerton Capitals and Saugeen Shores Storm for an outstanding season in our inaugural Novice C loop.
