Attempted Murder Suspect Named

20-year old Tristan Bricker-Ritchie of Saugeen First Nation is charged.

Bruce Peninsula OPP have released the name of a Saugeen First Nation man accused of attempted murder.

20 year-old Tristan Bricker-Ritchie of Saugeen First Nation has been charged with attempt murder.  

Police say he is being held in custody and is scheduled to appear before in court in  Walkerton on Tuesday.
On Friday  around 9:30 PM Bruce Peninsula OPP received a report of an assault with a weapon at a residence along Scotch Settlement Road, Saugeen First Nation.

The victim, a 19 year-old Saugeen First Nation man, was taken to a local hospital for treatment of life threatening injuries. He has since been transferred to a London hospital where he remains listed in critical condition.

The Bruce Peninsula OPP Crime Unit continues to investigate.

Bruce Peninsula OPP are requesting anyone with information that can assist police to call 1-888-310-1122.
