The Libro Credit Union is inviting local organizations to apply for Libro Prosperity Fund grants intended to improve their communities.

The annual grant program is releasing $500,000 to go toward regional economic development, youth leadership and development, and using money wisely.

A spokesperson for the financial institution says the campaign is part of the larger Libro Prosperity Project which aims to improve communities in several ways.

The Project looks at community investment and staff engagement, among other things.

Organizations can click here to apply for grants of $5,000 or more until March 18th.

The applications will be evaluated in the following months, and funds will be awarded in the fall.
