The Bruce Peninsula and Grey County OPP Marine Units are seeking applications for its 2016 marine assistant Summer student's position.
Officers say the program provides College and University students with an opportunity to gain experience in the field of law enforcement.
The successful applicant will learn about marine safety and related legislation, boat maintenance, how to prepare reports and interact with the public as a representative of the OPP.
To apply, students must be 18-years old, possess a pleasure craft operators card, a minimum of a G2 Ontario driver's license and CPR and first aid qualifications.
Strong swimming abilities, communication skills, a professional appearance and previous boating experience are also assets to provincial police.
The application deadline is February 16th.

The marine assistant Summer student will work alongside a qualified OPP marine operator on a police vessel, conducting marine checks on recreational boaters.
