Hanover | by Kevin Bernard

Justin Lake of Hanover was arrested in Owen Sound without incident.

Hanover police say they have their man.

Yesterday afternoon, 21 year old Justin Lake was spotted in Owen Sound and was arrested by the Owen Sound Police Service without incident.

Lake was returned to Hanover and is being held for a bail hearing by the Hanover Police Service on several charges.

He is charged with robbery, assault, two counts of mischief under 5 thousand dollars, possession of a dangerous weapon, 2 counts of uttering death threats, criminal harassment, 3 counts of breach of recognizance and 2 counts of breach of probation.

You may remember on Monday Hanover Police were called by a woman who had been assaulted by an ex-partner.

She told Police that during the assault, Lake stole money from her, threatened to kill her and damaged her property.

She also dropped her infant son during the assault, but he was not hurt.

The man fled prior to police arrival.

An earlier court order barred the suspect from having contact with the woman.

Later on Monday, Lake reportedly armed himself with a knife and threatened to kill another person who was known to him.

Anyone with information that could help police in their investigation of the case is asked to call 519-364-2411.

Anonymous tips can be made by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

Hanover Police Service thanks members of the public, their social media followers and their media partners for aiding in the investigation that lead to the safe arrest of the suspect.
