(Hanover) -

Hanover Police are looking for your help in finding a man who they say is armed and dangerous.

Police are looking for 21-year-old Justin Lake, of no fixed address.

He is wanted for numerous offenses committed in Hanover earlier this week.

Police were called on Monday by a woman who had been assaulted by an ex-partner.

The woman told Hanover Police that during the assault, which occurred just after midnight, the man stole money from her, threatened to kill her and damaged her property.

She also dropped her infant son during the assault, but he was not hurt.

The man fled prior to police arrival.

An earlier court order barred the suspect from having contact with the woman.

Later on Monday, the man reportedly armed himself with a knife and threatened to kill another person who was known to him.

Lake is described as being five feet, nine inches tall and weighing 175 pounds.

He is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached by members of the public.

Anyone with information that could help police locate Lake is asked to call 519-364-2411.

Anonymous tips can be made by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
