Terriers Hand Flyers a Shutout for Christmas

Orillia | by Ken Hashizume

Binnie with 2, Weiss stops 37 as Orillia is now 5 back of Erin for 8th.

There is no snow outside and that maybe because the Jim Wilson Orillia Terriers have been hot of late.
The Terriers enter the Christmas break having won 5 of their last 7 after a 4-0 shutout of the Midland Flyers on Wednesday.
Captain Jason Binnie had a pair of goals while newcomer Corey Miller scored and added an assist.
Miller opened the scoring in the first period with a power play goal.
Binnie then scored the first of two in the 2nd period also on the power play.

Taylor Fischer had the other Terriers' goal while Matthew White had 2 assists.
Gordie Weiss turned away all 37 shots he faced while Jake Norton made 29 saves in the loss.
The Flyers were playing without their top scorer Evan Buehler.
Orillia finished 3-for-11 with the man advantage, Midland went 0-for-5.
The win moves the Terriers to within 5 points of the Erin Shamrocks for the 8th and final playoff spot -- 6 behind 7th place Penetang Kings.
