Siskins Roll Past Shamrocks

A hat trick from Stayner captain Ricky Darrell ignited 6-goal outburst.


No luck needed for the Stayner Siskins.
 
Two players provided much of the offence in their win over Erin on Thursday night.
 
The Siskins trailed 1-0 after one period but went on to score 6 unanswered goals for a 6-1 victory over the Shamrocks.
 
Stayner took a 2-1 lead into the third period when they scored 4 times to break the game open.
 
Ricky Darrell had a hat trick while Lucas Jeffery had a goal and 3 assists for Siskins.
 
Issac Swanton and Justin Taylor rounded out the scoring.
 
Justin Wing got the lone goal for the Shamrocks.
 
Trevor Bloch made 25 saves for the Siskins (4-2-2) in the win.
 
Mark Terry had 32 in the loss for the Shamrocks (3-4-1).
 
Stayner went 2-for-6 on the power play while Erin finished 0-for-3.
 
The Siskins return to Orillia this Sunday to play the Terriers for the second time in 3 games.
