Attack Drop First of Two in Erie

Connor McDavid scored his 27th goal of the season as the Otters nipped Owen Sound

Connor McDavid scored his 27th goal of the season in the third period and it stood as the winner as the Otters slipped past Owen Sound.
   
Kyle Pettit had a goal and two assists for Erie (36-12-3). Jake Marchment and Remi Elie also scored.
   
Petrus Palmu struck twice for the Attack (23-19-9), with Santino Centorame adding the other. Chirs Bigras had three assists.

Bigras now has 138 points in his career - which is four shy of the record in Owen Sound for points by a defenseman.

The Attack had a 2-1 lead after the first period in what was a well played game for Owen Sound.

The Attack are back in Erie tonight for the second tilt with the Otters in two nights.

Elsewhere, Brandon Robinson had a hat trick and added an assist as the Rangers scored five times in the third period to double up Mississauga 6-3.

Tyler Bertuzzi scored the winner in a shootout and Justin Nichols stopped 58 shots as the Storm edged Sarnia 4-3.

The Greyhounds routed the Saginaw Spirit 7-1, zachary Senyshyn had a hat trick to lead the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds. The Oshawa Generals hamered Kingston 7-1. Michael Dal Colle had a four-point night _ including two goals. The Barrie Colts won 5-3 over the Whalers.

Connor Graham scored the winner with under five minutes remaining in the third period as the 67's slipped past Belleville 3-2.
And Max Domi was one of three London forwards to score twice as it snapped a six-game losing skid by routing the Wolves 10-2.
