The Wiarton Howells Fish Market Fish team took on the Shallow Lake Andy Truck bodies Stonemen Midgets last week in Grey Bruce Peninsula Men's League Fastball action coming out with a big 13 to 4 score.
The game was played on the Carl Primmer Memorial Diamond at Bluewater Park.
Matt Robbins went the distance for the Fish victory and also chipped in with a pair of doubles. Kory Brady took the loss for Shallow Lake.
Les Thomas and Dale Waples also had 3 rbi nights at the plate for the Fish offence while Steve Zettle had a pair of singles for Shallow Lake.
In other GBPMFL league action, the Saugeen Lone Wolf Braves Jrs defeated the Cape Croker Neyaaishiing Sting twice last week with a 10 to 8 score and a 9 to 6 score in Saugeen.
Jeff Keeshig took the loss in the first game while Dalton Lewis won for the Braves.
The second game saw Tyson good take the loss for Cape while Ron Ritchie took the Braves victory.
Jeff Keeshig and Alex Nadjiwon had 2 hits in each game for the Cape team.
Ron Ritchie and James Besito had home run in both games while Daniel Kimiwon had 4 doubles for the braves offence.
In other game action, Shallow Lake also defeated the Saugeen Rezmen Monday night with no game results to pass on.
The same goes for a pair of Fish victories over the Saugeen Rezmen Friday evening.
Wiarton was now on a three game winning streak when they met up with the Clavering Frosty Freeze Lumberkings Monday night at Smith Athletic Fields in Clavering on the Ed Atkinson Memorial Diamond.
The game was tied 0 to 0 after 3 innings of play.
Wiarton went up 1-0 in the 4th on a double by Matt Robbins, but Clavering replied with one run in the bottom half after a triple by Arron Robison and a single by Matt Moore.
Wiarton then went up 3-1 in the top of the 5th inning on a two run double by Colin Miller.
But Clavering bounced back again with Dylan Buchanan leading off with a single and a walk by Tyler Hewitt followed by a three run home run by Brett Miller.
The Lumberkings never looked back as they scored four more runs in the 5th and 3 more in the 6th inning to eventually win 11-3.
Brett Miller pitched for the win for Clavering while Matt Robbins and Jason Miller took the loss in a combined effort.
Les Thomas, Ryan Miller and Matt Robbins each had a pair of hits and Shawn Morgan walked once while contributing with an infield single for the Fish offence.
Tyler Hewitt, Arron Robison and Brett Miller reached base four times each for Clavering while teammates Joe Ernest and Zac Higginson each had a pair of rbi's in the game.
Next action for both these teams is next Monday July 14th at 7 PM in Clavering.
Clavering will also visit the Shallow lake Andy Truck Bodies Stonemen Midgets on Wednesday, July 16th at 8:30 PM at the Shallow Lake Community Park.
The Saugeen Braves Jrs will play the Saugeen Rezmen on Sunday, July 20th in Saugeen at 8 PM.
