LumberKings Lead Fastball League

On Sunday June 22, the Shallow Lake Noble Trucks Stonemen played a double header in Cape Croker against the Cape Croker Neyaaishiing Sting. Game one was an 10-1 loss for the Stonemen, but they rallied back for game 2, winning 13-10.  Kory Brady had a 3 run triple.  Jeremy Waterton, Kory Brady & Jered Ruth shared the pitching duties as Tyson good took the loss in the second game.  Jeff Keeshig was the winning pitcher in game #1.

The Stonemen had a 10-9 win Monday June 23 in Wiarton over Wiarton Howells Fish Market Fish.  Jeremy Waterton was the lone pitcher in the victory while ben hepburn took the loss. Stephen Zettle had a 3 run home run and Kory Brady had a 1 run double to win the game offensively for Shallow Lake.

In other action, the Clavering Keystone Masters and the Saugeen Braves Jrs split there double header on Sunday afternoon in Clavering.

The Keystones will next play a pair of games at the Carl Primmer Memorial diamond in Wiarton on Canada Day starting at 5:30pm vs the Clavering Lumberkings as part of the Wiarton Optimist Club Canada Day celebrations.

The Stonemen's next game is in Shallow Lake, Wednesday July 2nd against the Wiarton Howells Fish Market Fish at 8:30.

Other games of note will see the Clavering Lumberkings host the Saugeen Braves Jrs at 7pm on July 2nd at the Smith Athletic Fields on the Ed Atkinson Memorial Diamond.

Last week the Clavering Lumberkings won a pair of games on Wednesday evening over the Saugeen Rezmen with Butch Wright and Brett Miller getting the victories on the mound.

They also had a come from behind victory over the Cape Croker Neyaaishiing Sting on Monday evening when they scored 4 runs in the bottom of the 7th inning to win 5 to 3.

Tyson Good took the loss and Nick McCoy was the winning pitcher.   Travis Jones and caleb Keeshig were responsible for the stings early lead offensively and Cole McDougal knocked in a pair of runs to tie the game and later scored on a walk off 2 run homer by Arron Robison.
