Attack Host Whalers Tonight

Owen Sound | by Fred Wallace

Plymouth must beat Owen Sound to have a shot at 7th in Western Conference.

The OHL game in Owen Sound on Wednesday night between the Attack and the Plymouth Whalers was postponed and will be played tonight.

A win by the Attack on Thursday would mean the Whalers would be relegated to an 8th place finish in the Western Conference standings and ensure that Owen Sound would finish no lower than 7th.

The Attack are three points back of the Saginaw Spirit for 6th in the Western Conference heading into the game.

Both the Attack and Spirit have three games to play.

The ceremonial opening faceoff for the Attack and Whalers will be conducted by former Plater Shawn Krueger.

Saturday night, prior to the game against Guelph, the ceremonial puck will be dropped by Olympic Alpine skier Larisa Yurkiw of Owen Sound.

Bayshore Broadcasting and David Black of CIBC Wood Gundy invite you to attend a " Meet & Greet " with Larisa from 6 PM to 7 PM at the Harry Lumley-Bayshore Community Centre.
