Attack Host Rangers Tonight

Owen Sound | by Fred Wallace

Pre-game thoughts from Attack Coach Greg Ireland as Owen Sound hosts Kitchener.

The Owen Sound Attack will host the Kitchener Rangers on Wednesday night in Ontario Hockey League play- the 4th meeting of the year between the two clubs.

Kitchener has won two of the three  head to head games on the season between the two clubs, but the Attack have garnered at least a point in every matchup -- scoring one win, losing once in a shootout and losing another game in overtime.

Owen Sound is 7th in the Western Conference standings with a 10 point bulge over Kitchener who are 9th.

The Rangers have played two less games than Owen Sound.

Attack Head Coach Greg Ireland is well aware of the points cushion his team has built over the Rangers, but relates the head to head games have been tight.

Furthermore, Ireland stresses it's too early in the season to talk about burying an opponent in the Conference standings.

Game time is 7 PM on Wednesday at the Harry Lumley-Bayshore Community Centre.
