The Knights of Meaford will host the Shelburne Red Wings on Thursday night in Greater Metro Junior A Hockey action.
The Knights will host a Shelburne squad that has mustered just one win in 21 outings on the season and sit last in the 20 team league
Meaford is 14th with 16 points in 16 games but have played vastly fewer games than the teams in front of them.
A win tonight on home ice would vault the Knights from 14th into a tie for 12th with Powassan and technically give Meaford the edge since they will have played 4 less games than the Eagles.
A bigger goal for Meaford would be to enter the top 10 and qualify for a spot in the NCAA-CIS Showcase event next month
The Bracebridge Phantoms have possession of 10th at the moment with five more points than the Knights, but Bracebridge has played five more games than Meaford
Game time for the Knights and Shelburne is 7:30 PM on Thrusday at the Meaford & St Vincent Community Centre
