Duclair Scores Game Winner

The QMJHL beats Russians 4-3, now OHL prepares for Russian Selects.

The Quebec Major Junior League stars beat the Russian Selects 4-3 in their final meeting in the Subway Super Series. 

Anthony Duclair scored the game winner as the QMJHL posted a two-game sweep of the touring Russian Selects.

Daniel Audette, Anthony Mantha and Christopher Clapperton also scored for  the Quebec Stars.

Mark Skutar, Igor Rudenkov and Ivan Barbashev scored for Russia

The Selects now shift to the Ontario Hockey League to open a two-game series tonight at Oshawa & Monday in Sudbury.

Owen Sound Attack defender Chris Bigras will play in both games for the OHL while Attack captain Zach Nastasiuk will play in the game tonight.

Also appearing in both Super Series games is Barrie Colts defenseman Aaron Ekblad.
