Port Elgin native wins Kalamazoo Valley Cougars Intrasquad final

Port Elgin native Tyler Middleton was the winning pitcher in the deciding game of the Kalamazoo Valley Community College Intersquad World Series.

It is a tradition at the school to finish the fall baseball season this way. Middleton pitched a 3 up 3 down top of the 4th inning for Team Cougars and then in the bottom half they scored 6 times to roll on to a 6-3 victory and the title.

Middleton also pitched a scoreless inning, the 6th inning, in the first game of the series in Team Cougars 5-4 win over Team Valley.

Tyler Middleton is a graduate of Saugeen Shores Minor Baseball, Owen Sound Minor Baseball, and the Ontario Blue Jays of the Premier Baseball League of Ontario.

The team will now go to indoor workouts until the spring when they start with a trip to spring training in Florida.
