Knights Deal and Sign

Meaford | by Fred Wallace

Interview with GM Dallyn Telford about two roster moves by Meaford club.

The Knights of Meaford of the Greater Metro Junior A Hockey League are busy, making a deal and signing another local player.

In the transaction, Meaford acquired veteran forward Eric Rogsater and 20 year old netminder Keegan McGraw from the South Muskoka Shield.

In exchange, the Knights sent 18 year old centre Shawn Nobes and Czech born goaltender Vladyslav Slyusarchuk to the Shield.

Knights general Manager Dallyn Telford says acquiring the 20 year old Rogsater is the key to the deal as Meaford needs to add more punch to their lineup.

Meaford also signed 16 year old defenceman Cody O'Donnell of Thornbury on Tuesday.

The 5 foot 11, 185 pound O'Donnell who was playing for the Georgian Shores Midgets is a rugged player who will help the Knights in their end of the rink and around their goal

Thursday night the Knights will stage their " Pink in the Rink " game when they host the Bradford Bulls

Game time Thursday is 7:30 PM at the Meaford & St Vincent Community Centre
