Colts Continue to Struggle

Oshawa | by Ken Hashizume

Cassels and Laughton score for Oshawa in 2-1 win to sweep home-and-home series.

Same opponent, different venue, but it was a familiar result for the Barrie Colts.

Cole Cassel's goal late in the first period was the difference as the Generals edged the Colts 2-1 in Oshawa on Friday night -- taking both games in the home-and-home series.

Scott Laughton got the Generals on the board with his 5th goal in as many games for a 1-0 lead.

Laughton and Cassels each finished with a goal and an assist for Oshawa (7-2-0-0) who have now won 5 straight.

Erik Bradford got the only goal for Barrie (3-4-0-1) who have dropped their 4th in a row.

The Colts return home Saturday night  to face the Mississauga Steelheads at the Barrie Molson Centre.
