The NHL preseason had a local flavour when the Anaheim Ducks beat the Colorado Avalanche 2-1 on Wednesdya.
Owen Sound Attack defender Chris Bigras played 22 minutes in the game for Colorado including two minutes of power play time.
Bigras was credited with two shots on goal in the contest.
A key member of the Attack for the past two years, Bigras is expected to remain with the Avalanche and miss the start of the Attack season.
Meanwhile, Ripley native Garrett Meurs also played for Colorado
Meurs, a former Huron-Perth Laker and member of the Kincardine District Knights, saw about five minutes of ice time
