Late Rally Falls Short for Majors

Orillia | by Ken Hashizume

Bolton held on to win 4-3

A late-inning rally coming up a bit short for the Orillia Majors.

The Bolton Brewers walked into Tudhope Park Wednesday night and came out 4-3 winners.

Pat Warden went the distance for the Brewers, he also did well at the plate with two hits and scored a run.

Nick Boyd also pitched a complete game in taking the loss for the Majors.

Down 1-0, Boyd got the first two out in the second inning before allowing 5 straight Bolton hitters to reach base.

The Brewers went on to score three times in that inning for a 4-1 lead.

Orillia scored twice in the seventh and had the tying run at third base and the winning run at first.

But Warden struck out Scott Seymour to end the game.

The next game for the Majors is this Sunday afternoon in Barrie.
