Hawks rally from 2-0 deficit to beat Kincardine 6-2 to open Western Junior C Final.

(Walkerton) -

It looked good for the Kincardine Bulldogs until early in the second period but their 2-0 lead was erased by six unanswered Walkerton goals as the Hawks won game one of the Western Junior C Hockey League final series 6-2.

Drew Davidson netted the game-winning goal for Walkerton on a pass from Lauchlin Elder at 5:29 of the third period.

It was the first of two for Davidson.

Jordan Turcotte started the Hawks' comeback mid-way through the second -- Adam Alexander, Haden Campbell and Austin Russell rounded out the scoring for the Hawks in front of over 600 fans at Walkerton Arena.

Kincardine's Chad Simpson accounted for the only goal of the first period and Mike Smailes put the Bulldogs up by two early in the middle frame.

Game one was a rough affair with a total of 110 minutes in penalties assessed to both teams.

Goaltender Jeff Flagler posted the win for Walkerton with 30 saves on 32 Kincardine shots.

Game two faces off at the Davidson Centre in Kincardine tonight at 7 PM.
