Crushers avoid elimination for the second game in a row

In WOAA Senior Men's playoff hockey there were a couple of tilt's Saturday night.

The Shallow Lake Crushers avoided elimination for the second game in a row as they defeat the Shelburne Muskies 5-4 to force game 6 back in Shallow Lake on Monday night.

Game time is 7 PM.

Shelburne leads the series 3-2

The Ripley Wolves got past the Durham Thundercats 5-4 to win the series.

The Tavistock Royals let a 3-0 lead get away in the third period, only to come back and bag the victory in OT-- putting out the Milverton 4Wheel Drives in five games with a 4-3 extra-frame win at home.

Greg Virgo scored the winner for the Royals at the 16:49 mark, assisted by Cody Hall and Trent Brown.

In the other series, the Petrolia Squires have found their groove, and take a 3-2 series lead over the Thunder after a 5-3 win in Tillsonburg.

Everyone is awaiting the winner of this one to see whom they play next.

The Squires can seal the deal with a win at home tonight at 7:30 PM.

Game 7 would be Tuesday at 8 PM in Tillsonburg.
