Snowsqualls Hit Tip of the Bruce

Tobermory | by Kevin Bernard

About 50 centimetres of snow falls on Tobermory, as residents dig out today.

Snowsqualls that set-up over the northern part of the Bruce Peninsula dumped about 50 centimetres of snow -- or 20 inches -- on Tobermory in the last 24 hours.

Bayshore Broadcasting News talked with the owner of G and S Watersports in Tobermory, Perry Smith, who was digging out his driveway to get to the shop.

Smith says they got close to two feet of snow -- which would be about 60 centimetres -- and the snowplow has left about four feet of snow at the end of his driveway.

Smith runs a coffee shop in the winter at his store but doesn't expect a lot of customers today, unless they are down shovelling.
