Attack Look To Extend Win Streak

Owen Sound | by Fred Wallace

Plymouth Whalers visit Owen Sound for a big OHL game tonight.

The Owen Sound Attack will host the Plymouth Whalers tonight in Ontario Hockey League action at the Harry Lumley-Bayshore Community Centre.

The Attack are on a four game winning streak and sit third in the Western Conference, 3 points back of London for first overall.

The Whalers are 6th in the Western Conference, but based on the seeding format, they could move up to the # 2 seed with a win at Owen Sound tonight.

Based on the current standings, the Attack and Whalers would be first round playoff opponents if the playoffs started today

Attack coach Greg Ireland refuses to get involved in that kind of premature playoff talk, saying only, " if we make the playoffs, we know we'll face a good opponent. "

Tonight is also " Toonies & Toys " Night with the Salvation Army & the Owen Sound Firefighters

Fans are asked to bring a new, unwrapped toy, or a cash donation, or a non-perishable food item to the game in support of the campaign

Game time tonight for the Attack and Whalers is 7 PM at the J.D. McArthur Arena.
