Hawks Win, Pirates Bombed

Saugeen Shores wins again, but Goderich loses in a rout.

No action on Sunday in the WOAA Senior Hockey League.

On Saturday night, the Saugeen Shores Winterhawks won again -- 5-3 over the Ripley Wolves.

The Shallow Lake Crushers also won -- 5-1 over Mapleton Minto -- Reid Hay scored 2 goals to lead the Crushers.

The Durham Thundercats lost 5-2 to the Elora Rocks.

In the South -- Monkton beat Thedford 4-1, Clinton defeated Tillsonburg 6-2 and Tavistock routed Goderich 15-0.

The road loss leaves the Goderich squad mired in last place, four points behind the Dirty Dogs, with Thedford having played one more game.

The winless Pirates host Komoka on Friday December 7th at MRC.

It is an 8:30 PM start.
