Five Point Night For Janes

Ottawa 67's 5 Kingston Frontenacs 3

 

Steven Janes had 2 goals and 5 points as the 67's snapped a 7-game losing streak.

Sean Monahan, who is the highest rated skater in the OHL according to the NHL Central Scouting Bureau's Preliminary rankings, scored just 24 seconds into the game for Ottawa and had a 3 point night.

Remy Giftopoulos and Mike Vlajkov also scored in the victory while netminder Clint Windsor made 35 saves for his first win with the 67's after being acquired from the Mississauga Steelheads last week.

Ottawa now plays their next 9 games on the road.

Roland McKeown, Spencer Watson and Darcy Greenaway had the goals for the Frontenacs who had a 5 game win streak snapped.

Kingston used both of their goaltenders in the game. Mike Morrison started but was replaced by Colin Furlong after allowing 3 goals on 17 shots.

Tonight, the Owen Sound Attack host the Barrie Colts at the Harry Lumley-Bayshore Community Centre.

The Attack lead the Western Conference while the Colts lead the Eastern Conference; both teams have 35 points on the year.
