Battalion Rally to Beat Colts

Barrie | by Ken Hashizume

Brampton scores 4 unanswered goals and hands Barrie their first regulation loss at home.

The Brampton Battalion stormed back to beat the Barrie Colts.

The Colts couldn't hold the lead Saturday night and ended up losing their first home game in regulation.

The Colts opened up a 2-0 lead on goals by Mark Scheifele and Brendan Bell but the Battalion scored four unanswered goals on their way to a 4-3 victory at the Barrie Molson Centre.

Brampton was up 4-2 when Scheifele's second goal of the game late the third brought the Colts to within one but that was close as they would get.

Matt MacLeod led the Battalion with a goal and an assist.

Barclay Goodrow, Marcus McIvor, and Nick Foglia also scored for Brampton.

Zach Hall collected two assists for the Colts (14-5-0-1) who suffered their second loss at home and their first in regulation.

The Battalion outshot the Colts 37-27.

Barrie's next game is at home this Thursday night versus the Sarnia Sting.
