The Saugeen Shores District Royals are headed to another Bluewater high school football championship.

The Royals were in command for 60 minutes as they bombed the West Hill Raiders, 67-6 in a wet game on Thursday afternoon.

West Hill coach John Kosempel says the Royals were prepared while his squad just couldn't execute.

He says they were simply outplayed.

Royals coach Pete Buttenaar says it was tough practicing this week because of the weather but they were prepared to play in muddy, wet and cold conditions.

Buttenaar says he has a lot of respect for the Raiders because they never gave up despite the lopsided score.

He says he tells his players not to look at what has been one-sided scores this season but to focus on the game and the play at hand.

He says as soon as you lose that focus, you open yourself to injury.

The Royals will face the winner of the other semifinal between the second place St. Mary's Mustangs and the third place OSCVI Falcons.

Friday's game gets underway at 2 PM.

Buttenaar says either opponent is going to make for a great championship game, next Friday, November 9th at 2 PM at SDSS in Port Elgin.
