Barrie's Royal Victoria Hospital is 1.6 million dollars to the good following a cheque presentation by Simcoe County Warden Cal Patterson.

This is part of the County's ongoing commitment to health care in the region.

In 2007, the County of Simcoe committed 20 million dollars to RVH’s Phase 1 Expansion project, which includes the Simcoe Muskoka Regional Cancer Centre.

The investment in RVH was part of the County’s ten-year, 30 million dollar allocation to the Simcoe County Hospital Alliance (SCHA) to support area hospital capital projects.
