Do you have a three or four year old child that will be starting school next Fall?

Well now is the time to register for kindergarten.

Schools across Grey and Bruce counties are hosting a serious of "Let's Learn" kindergarten registration for all children born in 2009.

It's a joint effort of the Bruce Grey Catholic and Bluewater District School Boards.

Catholic Superintendent of Education Catherine Montreuil encourages parents to participate in the clinics.

She says early registration provides parents with an opportunity to learn what they can do to help their child get ready for school

A number of community partners will also be on hand to provide vision, hearing and speech screening.

Montreuil says early screening serves as tool to ensure both staff and parents can address and prepare for any challenges ahead.

The "Let's Learn" clinics also provide children with a chance to tour their future school and meet their future kindergarten teachers, principals and school secretary.

Montreuil adds it should help take some of the anxiety out of the first day of school.

The "Let's Learn" clinics are taking place throughout October and November.

Parents need to call their local schools to sign up for registration.
