Barrie's power play and penalty killing were strong in a 4-1 win over Niagara.
(Barrie) - A big night for Colts' Forward Zach Hall as Barrie's special teams help them beat a road-weary Ice Dogs team. Hall's hat trick helped lift the Colts to a 4-1 victory over Niagara at the Barrie Molson Centre on Saturday night. Two of his goals came on the power play, Andreas Athanasiou had the other Barrie goal also on the power play. Anthony DiFruscia opened the scoring in the game for the Ice Dogs who were playing their third game in as many nights. Barrie killed off two big Ice Dogs power plays in the game -- a 5-minute major late in the second, and a 5-on-3 for a full 2 minutes midway through the third. Ryan O'Conner collected two assists for the Colts. Barrie outshot Niagara 39-27. The Colts are on the road for the next four games, the first comes next Friday night in Sudbury against the Wolves.
