You might notice something different at the Heritage Place Shopping Centre in Owen Sound on Saturday.

There will be people taking part in a ten hour stationary bike ride.

It's called the "Battle in The Saddle" and it will take place in the Sears Court at the mall from 8 AM to 6 PM.

It's a fundraiser for the Canadian Cancer Society.

Bluewater Unit Fundraising Co-ordinator Jennifer Wright says the event will combine efforts of police officers, paramedics, firefighters, nurses, teachers and breast cancer survivors.

Wright hopes to have ten teams of eight to ten cyclists peddling for a full ten hours.

All money raised will go to research for ovarian, breast, and cervical cancer.
