Midwest Division Matchup for Owen Sound against rivals in Kitchener.
(Kitchener) - The Owen Sound Attack travel to Kitchener tonight to face the Rangers in a divisional matchup in the Ontario Hockey League. The road game for the Attack is just their second in the month of October, a month that will see them play seven times at home by the end of this weekend. Attack coach Greg Ireland is excited about the game tonight relating that the Rangers often bring out the best in the Owen Sound squad. Kitchener eliminated Owen Sound in a five game playoff series last year. When asked if that series would be a motivating factor tonight, Ireland stated he believes his club has grown too far to be wrapped up in the events of last Spring. The Attack come into the game tied for third in the Western Conference with a record of 8 wins, 2 losses and 1 overtime loss. The Rangers who played their first 8 games of the season on the road due to renovations at the Dom Cardillo Arena, are 4 points back of Owen Sound in the standings. You can hear tonight's game live on CFOS with Kia of Owen Sound-Terry's Trailer Service Bearadio On Saturday night, the Attack host Sudbury and then Sunday afternoon the Attack are at home again when they entertain the Windsor Spitfires.
