The bi-annual Collingwood Sports Hall of Fame Induction is scheduled for Saturday night at Branch 63 of the Royal Canadian Legion.

Four athletes, one builder and 2 teams will be inducted into the Hall on this occasion.

The 2011 Collingwood Collegiate Fighting Owls Junior Football team and the Collingwood Blackhawks Atom Hockey club from last season are the teams to be inducted.

Brian Bailey is being inducted as a builder for his work with Youth Sailing.

And the four athletes to be inducted are; Brian French ( Golf ), Mike Jackson ( Golf ), David MacKechnie ( Swimming ) and Adrian Vanderhoven ( Sailing )

Collingwood Sports Hall of Fame Chair Mark Rich is excited about the night which includes Elliotte Friedman of CBC Sports as the guest speaker.

Rich relates sports in Collingwood continually provides a healthy outlet for people to experience and remember special moments and special people in life and sports.
