A magnificent seven for the Barrie Colts as the team extended their win streak to 7.

Andreas Athanasiou's power play goal midway through the second period was the difference as the Colts eked out a 2-1 victory over Sudbury on Saturday night at the Barrie Molson Centre.

Athanasiou held on to the puck while skating around a couple of Wolves players before backhanding one past goaltender Joel Vienneau.

Erik Bradford had the other Barrie goal, Aaron Ekblad and Josh McDonald each had two assists.

Sudbury's only goal came off the stick of Nathan Pancel on the power play.

Vienneau made 37 saves in the loss, his counterpart Mathias Niederberger turned away 33.

The Colts carry an 8 and 2 into next Thursday's game at home versus Ottawa.
