More Food Warnings

CFIA issues warnings about certain salad and cereals.


(Regional) -

Two more food warnings to be aware of the next time you go grocery shopping.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency says you should not eat certain Fresh Express brand Hearts of Romaine salad.

The agency says it may be contaminated with salmonella bacteria.

The warning concerns salad sold in 510 gram packages with a best before date of October 11th.

Kelloggs Canada is recalling most sizes of Mini-Wheats brown sugar and original frosted cereal sold countrywide.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency reports small pieces of metal were found in the packaging.

So far, there have been no reported injuries.

The products have best-before dates between April 1st and July 29th, 2013.
